Machine Operator / Production Associate
Location: Talladega, AL Pay: $16 per hour Job Type: Temporary to Hire Position Status: Temporary
Encadria Staffing Solutions is hiring Machine Operator and Production Associates to support Georgia Pacific’s Talladega facility. This is a hands?on temporary position working in a utility capacity, supporting multiple areas of the mill and learning core production operations.
About the RoleYou will work throughout the mill performing cleaning, lock out and tag out support, clearing wood jams, troubleshooting, stacking and flipping wood, and assisting machine operators. You will also learn basic machine operations and help maintain safe and efficient production flow. The job requires working at heights and on catwalks.
ScheduleThis position works rotating day and night shifts. Day shifts run 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Night shifts run 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM. The schedule is Monday through Thursday with occasional Fridays as needed.
What You Will Do- Act in a utility role across the mill to support production
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning tasks to maintain safe operations
- Complete lock out and tag out procedures as required
- Clear wood jams and assist with troubleshooting
- Stack, flip, and move wood materials
- Learn and support basic machine operations
- Follow all plant safety rules and PPE requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of manufacturing, industrial, military, or heavy equipment experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to work in hot, cold, humid, and noisy environments
- Ability to lift, walk, climb, stoop, stand, push, and pull for up to twelve hours
- Ability to work at heights and on catwalks
- Ability to wear all required PPE
- Two or more years in manufacturing
- Forklift experience
- Computer use for documentation
- Experience in lumber or wood products
