General Labor / Operator (Temporary Assignment)

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Assignment Length: 2 to 3 Weeks

Monday through Friday schedule may be considered based on business needs.

Encadria Staffing Solutions is seeking reliable and safety-focused General Labor/Operators to support operations at Georgia-Pacific's Talladega facility. This is a hands-on role that supports various areas of the mill, including lumber handling, housekeeping, stacking, strapping, banding, and general cleanup activities willing to work outside and willing/able to pick up pieces of lumber (4x6 – 4x20) and clean up trash, etc. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, working both indoors and outdoors, and being part of a fast-paced industrial environment.

• Stack, strap, band, flip, and move lumber and wood products
• Perform housekeeping and cleanup duties throughout the mill
• Organize loose lumber and maintain safe work areas
• Assist with lockout/tagout activities as directed
• Help clear wood jams and support basic troubleshooting efforts
• Support production operations in a utility role across multiple departments
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and PPE requirements
• Work at elevated heights, including catwalks and platforms

• At least 6 months of experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, military, farming, landscaping, warehousing, heavy equipment, or other physically demanding work environments
• Ability to work safely in hot, cold, humid, noisy, and dusty conditions
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Comfortable working at heights and on catwalks
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

• One or more years of manufacturing or industrial experience
• Experience in lumber, wood products, sawmill, forestry, or related operations
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
