Machine Operator / Production Associate

Talladega, AL Pay: $16 per hour Job Type: Temporary to Hire Encadria Staffing Solutions is hiring Machine Operator and Production Associates to support Georgia Pacific's Talladega facility. This is a hands?on role working in a utility capacity, supporting multiple areas of the mill and learning core production operations.
This role requires working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment and includes walking, standing, and performing physical tasks throughout the shift. Employees will occasionally work on elevated platforms and catwalks approximately 15 to 20 feet above ground level. These work areas are designed for routine operations and do not require employees to use fall-protection harnesses or perform lockout/tagout procedures independently. This position works rotating day and night shifts.
Day shifts run 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Night shifts run 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM. The schedule is Monday through Thursday with occasional Fridays as needed.
- Act in a utility role across the mill to support production
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning tasks to maintain safe operations
- Complete lock out and tag out procedures as required
- Clear wood jams and assist with troubleshooting
- Stack, flip, and move wood materials
- Learn and support basic machine operations
- Follow all plant safety rules and PPE requirements
- At least one year of manufacturing, industrial, military, or heavy equipment experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to work in hot, cold, humid, and noisy environments
Ability to lift, walk, climb, stoop, stand, push, and pull for up to twelve hours - Ability to work at heights and on catwalks
- Ability to wear all required PPE
- Employment is contingent on passing a drug test where permitted by law
- Two or more years in manufacturing
- Forklift experience
- Computer use for documentation
- Experience in lumber or wood products
