Exciting Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Talladega, Alabama!
Main Street Family Care is growing and is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The role involves providing patient-focused care across urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine to patients of all ages.
After on-site orientation and training, you will have training shifts with existing providers and ongoing support including a pediatric urgent care CE course and on-call NP assistance to aid clinical decision-making.
Responsibilities:- Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
- Minor procedures such as toenail removal and foreign object removal
- Suturing
- Splinting
- General orthopedic evaluations and management
- Review of X-rays (with over-reading by a radiologist)
- General dermatology care
- General eye problem evaluation
- General EKG interpretation
- Emergency management skills
- General gynecological expertise
- Treating children of all ages
- Occupational medicine
- Telemedicine
Main Street Clinic Hours
- Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend, sample below:
- Week 1:
Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON) and Sunday (ON). - Week 2:
Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF) and Sunday (OFF).
- Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required
- MSN or higher education required (New graduate friendly!)
- DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (cost covered)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite preferred
