As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Patrol in Talladega, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

* Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

* Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

* Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.

* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership according to established protocols.

* Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.

* Monitor entrances, movement through designated areas, and visitor activity while following post orders, access procedures, and other security-related guidelines for a controlled government environment.

* Support daily operations by communicating with staff and/or public officials, preparing routine reports, and assisting with crowd management, direction, and other assigned duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

* Access control and badge experience is preferred.

* CPR certification is preferred.

* Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

* Customer service experience is preferred.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
