Overview

As a Security Officer Patrol Screening in Talladega, AL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This role offers the chance to provide outstanding customer service and communication while supporting daily operations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or permissions, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Support order at the location by observing daily activity, following post instructions, and providing clear information and assistance during routine operations and/or emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
