Requirements:
- Two (2) years of customer service experience.
- Two (2) years of professional accounting experience.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Detailed oriented.
- One (1) year of FLAIR experience.
- Experience with Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Marketing or Economics from an accredited college or university.
Interview will consist of:
Oral interview questions and work sample.
Due to the job duties of this position, the work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday with an hour lunch.
The salary range for this position is $40,000.00 - $84,533.60, based on experience and education.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
Responses to qualifying questions must be clearly supported by the state application and any omission, falsification, or misrepresentation in the answering of the qualifying questions will be cause for immediate elimination from the selection process.
Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
:
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures; knowledge of the methods of data collection; ability to prepare financial statements and reports; ability to design and implement accounting systems; ability to prepare and maintain a variety of accounting records; ability to analyze and interpret accounting data; ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to an accounting program;
ability to communicate effectively; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; ability to work independently; and ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Interface with FL PALM to perform these functions as needed for the Bureau.
The incumbent will comply with funds transfer controls developed in the policies of the Division of Treasury and procedures developed in the Bureau of Deferred Compensation.
