JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position consists of a Clerk Specialist supervised by the Senior Educational Program Director in the Instructional Support Services (ISS) section of the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services (BEESS). This position will work closely with the ISS section and the support staff from other sections. The person in this position is expected to perform highly responsible administrative work as related to the statutory regulations of the education profession in the State of Florida.
This position requires excellent communication skills in dealing with the public, appointed commissioners, and members of both the legal and education professions. This is a great opportunity for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and can communicate effectively.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Reviews requirements for publications, documents and forms in the bureau.
* Answers phone calls from the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Students Services mainline.
* Coordinate communication and scheduling for required activities.
* Assist with tracking and filing papers and electronic documents.
* Research materials for professional staff for conferences and meetings.
* Tracks and updates data systems in excel. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS This is a student position. The applicant must currently be a student and able to provide class schedule on request.
* Ability to communicate effectively including verbal and written communication.
* Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
