Job Specifications

Make an impact behind the scenes by providing the administrative support that helps our Construction & Operations team operate at its best. As an Administrative Specialist I, you'll coordinate purchasing card activities, support hiring and onboarding, assist with payroll and timekeeping, and perform a variety of office functions that contribute to an efficient, service-focused workplace.

What You'll Do:

* Serve as a key administrative resource for the Construction & Operations team, providing the support that keeps daily operations running smoothly.

* Coordinate hiring and onboarding activities by preparing personnel actions, scheduling interviews, assisting with pre-employment requirements, and helping new employees get off to a successful start.

* Process purchasing card transactions, personnel documents, financial records, and other administrative activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with City policies and procedures.

* Support supervisors and employees by assisting with payroll and timekeeping, training registrations, and a variety of day-to-day administrative functions.

* Deliver exceptional customer service by building positive relationships, responding promptly to requests, and contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.

* Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while supporting the City's values and commitment to operational excellence.

Minimum Training & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or a degree accepted in the field in which the vacancy exists;

OR

* High School diploma or GED;

* Four (4) years of experience of staff or administrative experience

Special Requirements

* At the department director's discretion, a valid Class E State driver's license may be required for any of the designated positions allocated to this class.

Salary Range

$21.6689 to $58.7999/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $$29.9764/hour.
