Administrative Assistant (Administrative Support)
This position coordinates administrative tasks and assignments on a variety of administrative matters. Examples of work performed include performing special assignments, research, and report preparation, reviewing records and reports that require action, assisting supervisor in handling daily administrative duties, preparing confidential correspondence, processing correspondence, assisting in formulating and recommending programs and policies, performing general office management duties, assisting in planning meetings and workshops, preparing meeting materials, serving as the official custodian of bills referred to committee, drafting amendments and bills, and performing other related duties as required.
Knowledge of administrative principles and practices, research techniques, attention to detail, teamwork, data analysis, planning and coordination, effective communication, tact, confidentiality, rules and regulations, report preparation, and problem-solving techniques are required.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with administrative experience substituting on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
