Mission San Luis, a 64-acre living history museum located in Tallahassee, Florida, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented OPS Administrative Assistant. This position must be able to provide excellent customer service. Please submit a resume and cover letter detailing any work experience and explaining why you are the best candidate. This is a full-time OPS position with an hourly pay rate of $16.
Primary duties:
- Work with supervisor to maintain records for DOS and CSO budgets, purchases, payments, and approval requests.
- Under supervision, processing invoices and monitoring payments.
- Route and track internal paperwork.
- Maintain files/records.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Support day-to-day museum operations.
- Assist with preparing the site for public events.
- Assist with other Mission San Luis activities or initiatives as needed.
Minimum qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1 or more years of office, data entry or customer service experience.
- College education from an accredited institution or vocational training can substitute for experience.
- Proficiency in standard office software.
Preferences:
- Experience with State of Florida government operations.
- Experience with office management and administrative duties.
- Experience with organization finances, including creating and managing budgets, purchasing, and accounting software.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Excellent organization and project-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift, move, carry, and/or push items weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to understand and follow established procedures and policies.
- Proficiency in standard office software.
