Collections Specialist

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented, Part-time Collections Specialist to support daily payment processing, account follow-up, and in-office administrative tasks in the front-office of our Tallahassee, Florida business. This is a Part-time Contract position that requires someone fully-in office who can communicate effectively with customers, handle transactions accurately, and keep account records organized. The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of relevant experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment Monday through Friday through late October.

Responsibilities:

- Manage outbound and inbound collection-related communication to resolve outstanding customer balances in a detail-oriented manner.

- Receive and process customer payments, including credit card and cash transactions, while maintaining accuracy in documentation.

- Provide administrative support for the office by organizing records, updating account details, and assisting with routine clerical tasks.

- Monitor delinquent accounts and follow established procedures to encourage timely payment and account resolution.

- Record payment activity and customer interactions clearly to help maintain accurate financial and account histories.

- Assist customers with payment questions and account status updates while delivering courteous and efficient service.

Requirements

- Ability to work part-time, fully onsite in our Tallahassee, Florida offices

- At least 1 year of experience in collections, payment processing, or administrative support.

- Working knowledge of consumer collections practices and customer account follow-up.

- Experience handling multiple forms of payment, including cash and credit card transactions.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

- Clear and detail-oriented communication skills for interacting with customers regarding account balances and payments.

- Ability to manage administrative duties efficiently in a structured office setting.
