This Government Operations Consultant III position in the Department of Health's Bureau of WIC Program Services reports directly to the Bureau Chief and oversees administrative and human resource functions. The role includes supervising two staff members, managing hiring and personnel actions, coordinating procurement and travel logistics, and serving as the bureau's expert on the People First System. The position is 100% federally funded through the WIC grant and requires independent decision-making on administrative matters and policies.
- Supervision and personnel management experience including hiring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions
- Expert knowledge of People First System and state HR processes
- Experience with procurement, purchasing systems, and federal/state compliance requirements
- Strong organizational and administrative coordination skills
- Ability to manage confidential personnel information and work independently
