Responsibilities

* Teach undergraduate and graduate music theory courses from among current offerings and/or in the candidate's area of expertise.

* Collaborate on developing courses for students specializing in popular music, commercial music, and music industry.

* Participate in university service activities, including service on committees, student recruitment and advising, and administration of area exams.

* Participate in professional service activities nationally and internationally, as appropriate.

Qualifications

* A completed doctoral degree in Music Theory or equivalent at the time of appointment.

* A commitment to the recruitment of outstanding students and to fostering an environment that contributes to the vibrancy of the university community.

* Dynamic teacher whose academic interests complement those of our current faculty.

Considerations

This is a Faculty position.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
