Florida A&M University's Department of Mathematics is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Assistant Professor vacancy.

Responsibilities

Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, research and a willingness to help foster the undergraduate and graduate experience at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University;
Responsible for teaching, research, academic advising and other university activities including service to department and university;
Commit to scholarly research activities and university service;
Exhibit a dedication to fostering civil discourse while engaging all university stakeholders or performing assigned duties and responsibilities; and perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Science or closely related field. Priority will be given to applicants with strong Computational Mathematics background. Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching a broad range of Mathematics courses and will also share an interest in developing interdisciplinary initiatives in Mathematics.

Pay Plan

This is a Faculty position.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks and verification of education. An official college transcript, a high school diploma, or other educational documents must be submitted, where applicable, at the time of employment.
