Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and classroom activities
Explain topics such as:
Constitution and Bill of Rights
Branches of government
Elections and voting
Citizenship responsibilities
Laws and public policy
State and local government

Incorporate current events and real-world connections into lessons
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
Maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment
Establish and enforce classroom rules and expectations
Monitor student behavior and encourage respectful discussions and debate
Promote critical thinking and student participation

Assessment & Academic Support
Create quizzes, tests, projects, and assignments
Assess student progress and maintain accurate grade records
Provide feedback and academic support to students
Prepare students for district and state assessments

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
Participate in parent conferences and school meetings

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff
Attend professional development and training sessions

Use educational technology and digital resources to enhance instruction
Facilitate group projects, presentations, simulations, and classroom debates
Encourage civic engagement, leadership, and community awareness

Supervise students during school activities, lunch duty, or hall duty
Sponsor clubs or extracurricular activities when assigned
Follow school policies, district procedures, and state educational requirements
Maintain lesson plans, attendance, and other required documentation
