Halff has an opening for a Civil Engineer, with their Engineering Intern (EI) Certification or Professional Engineering License (PE) to join our Transportation/Roadway team in our Tallahassee, FL location. The ideal candidate will bring Civil Engineering experience with a focus in Transportation / Roadway through Internships, jobs in the consulting industry, and/or experience working with, or for, public sector clients. We will provide oversight and mentorship to further advance the candidates career development.

What you will do:

* Works under a Professional Engineer (PE) Transportation Team Leader in the development of roadway design projects

* Works closely with the other design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that contribute to the growth and safety of Florida roadways

* Works on multiple transportation projects in support of business needs

* Assists in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules

* Reviews transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency

What you will need:

* Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree

* Professional Engineer License (PE) in the State of Florida OR Engineer Intern Certification (EI), or able and willing to obtain within 6 months of start date

* Must have at least 2 year of experience in transportation project delivery

* Micro Station (or AutoCAD) experience

* Understand basic roadway design (roadway design manual, AASHTO)

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

* A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success.

* Experience with Open Roads Designer (ORD) is a plus

* FDOT experience preferred, but not required
