Stantec's multi-disciplinary office in Tallahassee, Florida has an opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer – Site / Civil Engineering. We are seeking a candidate with experience in professional practice and design related to land development/community development. This position will be involved with significant projects, interact with clients and government agencies and effectively working with a team. Responsibilities include design and preparation of site, grading, drainage, erosion control and utility plans as well as design reports.

Your
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
- Utilize AutoCAD / Civil 3D in development of site plans, utility plans and grading plans.
- Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
- Participate in client project meetings.
- Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents.
- Perform and oversee the performance of calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
- Participate in constructability review.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews on projects.
- Work on multiple projects concurrently.
Qualifications:
- General understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
- Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources.
- Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
- Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
- Thorough understanding of civil engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant design software, which may include AutoCAD Civil3D, GIS, Hydraflow and ICPR / Storm Wise.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in the profession of Civil Engineering civil/site design.
- Registered Professional Engineer in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work. Hybrid work schedule available, with minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
