We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the Executive Management team and serve as a key business partner to the CEO. The CFO will provide executive leadership across all financial functions while helping shape the company's long-term strategy, growth, and operational performance.
This executive will have primary responsibility for finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, job costing, strategic planning, financing, deal analysis, compliance, and financial reporting. The CFO will provide actionable financial insights to executive leadership and ensure the organization maintains strong financial controls, disciplined capital management, and scalable financial processes.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on financial leader who can operate strategically at the executive level while remaining closely involved in the financial operations of the business.
Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Executive Leadership- Partner directly with the CEO and Executive Management team to develop and execute short- and long-term financial and business strategies.
- Provide executive leadership with financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
- Evaluate the financial implications of growth initiatives, investments, new programs, partnerships, and business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow, operational efficiency, and overall financial performance.
- Establish strong relationships with senior leaders and provide financial guidance that supports organizational objectives.
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the organization's Finance and Accounting functions.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and reliable financial reporting, analysis, forecasts, and management reporting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidation, and reporting processes.
- Establish and maintain effective financial policies, procedures, systems, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements related to financial and tax reporting.
- Lead the development and continuous evaluation of short- and long-term financial plans.
- Analyze budgets, financial trends, operating results, and key performance indicators.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic planning and executive decision-making.
- Provide recommendations to enhance financial performance and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Establish meaningful financial metrics and reporting tools to improve visibility into business performance.
- Take a hands-on leadership role in developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job costing system.
- Partner with operational leadership to evaluate project profitability, costs, margins, and financial performance.
- Develop processes that provide management with accurate and timely visibility into project and operational results.
- Identify cost-saving and margin-improvement opportunities throughout the organization.
- Support private and institutional financing activities and maintain relationships with financial partners.
- Provide financial leadership for deal analysis, negotiations, partnerships, and other strategic transactions.
- Evaluate capital requirements and recommend financing strategies that support business growth.
- Support partnership compliance, property-related financial matters, and other strategic business activities as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning.
- Strong experience with job costing and operational financial analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to advise CEOs and senior executives on financial strategy and business performance.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, regulatory compliance, and financial and tax reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Windows-based applications.
- Working knowledge of Quick Books and Salesforce.
