Position: GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS CONSULTANT II - 48003705

Government Operations Consultant II -

This position provides management services and assists in administering the Department's contract administration/management program involving the procurement of professional contractual services for the Agency. This position develops and implements procedures for contractual services in conformation with Chapter 287 F.S. and Chapter 60A-1, F.A.C. The employee must be productive under tight time frames, balance multiple and competing priorities and maintain goal-directed behavior and performance sometimes under stressful conditions.

The employee must interact courteously with others. The employee's performance and behavior must demonstrate consideration of the workload concerns of others and must not negatively affect productivity and morale of the unit. Attendance is an essential function of this position.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Review and approve contracts, contract documents, and attachment for compliance with Federal, State and Department requirements.
  • Assists in maintenance of comprehensive contract tracking.
  • Prepares and distributes executed contracts.
  • Provide assistance relating to contracts policies and procedures and preparation of contract documents for contract managers and high-level managerial employees.
  • Assist in the development of contract performance guidelines, contract monitoring processes, and forms.
  • Performs other related work and special assignments as required.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Two years of professional experience in administrative work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively including verbal and written communication.
  • Experience with administrative and office principles and practices.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Experience with organizing data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other materials.
