minimum requirements: a high school diploma or its equivalent and seven (7) years of professional or nonprofessional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work; or a bachelor's degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work;

or a master's degree (6 years) from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of required experience as listed above. Requires possession of a valid driver's license.

additional requirements: moderate travel required. Must be willing to travel up to 25% of scheduled hours. Travel will vary based on activities scheduled. job duties

general: serves as an ordering specialist for the emergency food assistance program (tefap) and commodity supplemental program (csfp). Provides guidance to agencies and the public regarding all aspects of the programs, relative to food ordering. Explains program regulations, requirements, criteria, etc., to interested parties. Ensures timely submission of reports. Provides technical assistance and training. Responsible for the allocation, ordering, and distribution of usda foods for the tefap and csfp programs utilizing the united states department of agriculture (usda) web-based ordering system.

Monitors and reviews usda foods requests, statuses and inventory levels at recipient agencies. Provides training to recipient agencies on the use of the electronic ordering system. Collaborates with the usda regarding the ordering of usda foods. Communicates regularly with local agencies, vendors, and distributors regarding food shipments. Assists recipient agencies, vendors and distributors with delivery problems and complaints. Ensures timely follow-up on any complaints reported to the division.

Monitors program participation rates through, inventory levels at local agencies for the csfp program. Assists with surveys to obtain information about usda foods, such as food packages, and compiles responses and data for use in analyses and reports.
