This is a full-time position responsible for planning, analyzing, organizing, administering, and reporting on complex budget and information technology operations in the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Specific duties include:
- Assisting in the administering of the ITS annual operating budget
- Administering the ITS operating budget
- Preparing periodic budget projections and presentations to ITS management and leadership
- Working with ITS staff and management to prepare annual ITS operating plans
- Ensuring financial information in the plans accurately reflects the annual appropriations given to ITS to provide IT services each fiscal year
- Preparing and administering ITS project related budget reporting
- Managing the ITS Contracts database and ensuring that contract records are complete, up-to-date, and accurate
- Assisting FDLE staff and management in the development and execution of contracts for information technology products and services
- Conducting periodic reviews of ITS contracts and developing recommendations for improving efficiency and management practices related to contracts
Knowledge of business contracts, concepts, principles, terms, and application;
Knowledge of information technology terms and concepts;
Knowledge of government procurement laws, rules, and practices;
Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis;
Knowledge of management principles and practices;
Experience in government budgeting;
Experience in government procurement;
Ability to prepare well-organized and intelligible written documents;
Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials; and Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
Starting salary will be the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. FDLE is a State of Florida Employer and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
