Senior Business Consultant

What will you contribute?

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the senior Business Consultant is responsible for data analysis and mapping, system configuration, implementation, consultative training and/or reinforcement of training, and implementation support of software applications for new and existing clients.

• Interact with clients consultatively to determine project requirements and needs analysis.
• Establish client system parameters and controls, recommend best practices, review setup and secure client acceptance.
• Conduct data analysis and mapping activities for assigned applications, analyzing source data files and mapping data to target application for development.
• Provide on-site or remote support during client conversions.
• Test and troubleshoot system configuration and functionality, validate new system input/output and connectivity.
• Identify, research, and assist in resolving issues with technical resources, leading database validation sessions with clients.
• Assess and report project risks, participate in mitigation plan development.
• Communicate project scope, status and risks to stakeholders.
• Record accurate time spent on project related activities.
• Follow established project, departmental, company procedures, quality standards and project management standards.
• Manage implementation projects to timely close and transition clients appropriately.
• Complete post-implementation tasks promptly and update internal documentation.
• Provide subject matter expertise to internal staff, including sales, development, support, training, professional services.
• Assist in developing implementation or training content, conduct software training and reinforce prior training to external clients and internal staff.
• Maintain and broaden knowledge and skills of software applications and industry practices.

• Minimum of 5 years in relevant area of expertise, preferably within a financial institution or industry software company.
• Client-facing service experience required.
• Software implementation, support or training experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with project management discipline preferred.
• Experience with Teciem products – specifically Kondor – is a must.
