IT Professionals Developers, Admins, Architects; Tallahassee, FL

Job Title

Peraton is building a pipeline of qualified IT professionals to support Florida state government programs in Tallahassee, FL.

Responsibilities will vary based on role but may include:

• Applications Development Analyst / Systems Software Programmer
• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications and software solutions
• Support system enhancements, integrations, and troubleshooting activities
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical solutions
• Systems Administrator
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and infrastructure
• Monitor system performance, security, and availability
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues
• Systems Architect / Applications Architect
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing system architectures
• Define technical standards, frameworks, and best practices
• Provide guidance on system integration, modernization, and cloud strategies
• Across All Roles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Support enterprise IT operations, development, and modernization efforts
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and operational standards

Qualifications will vary based on role.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or an Associates degree and 7 years of experience or a High School Diploma/equivalent and 9 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
• Minimum of 5 to 12 years of experience depending on role and level
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Application development and software engineering
• Systems administration or infrastructure support
• Systems or application architecture
• Software programming and development
• Experience working in enterprise IT environments
• Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Must be local to Tallahassee, Florida

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting state or government environments
• Familiarity with Agile, Dev Ops, or ITIL processes
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
• Relevant technical certifications aligned to role

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
