Position Summary

SMX Services & Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a State of Florida CRM modernization initiative.

The Project Manager will provide overall project leadership, planning, scheduling, risk management, customer communication, status reporting, deliverable coordination, testing/UAT coordination, deployment planning, and acceptance tracking.

The project involves modernization of legacy Microsoft Dynamics CRM capabilities using Microsoft Power Platform technologies while improving security, workflow automation, integrations, reporting, testing, documentation, and long-term system sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead overall project planning and execution.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage the integrated project schedule.
  • Manage milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.
  • Coordinate technical and functional project resources.
  • Lead project kickoff, status, and project-management meetings.
  • Maintain project plans, status reports, risk registers, and action-item tracking.
  • Coordinate CRM conversion and modernization activities.
  • Coordinate security, workflow, integration, testing, and implementation work streams.
  • Manage customer communications and stakeholder coordination.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Track defects, remediation activities, and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate production deployment, cutover, and stabilization.
  • Manage project scope and change-control activities.
  • Coordinate documentation and knowledge-transfer activities.
  • Track contractual deliverables through customer review and acceptance.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise IT modernization, CRM, application-development, or systems-integration projects.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Strong project scheduling, risk management, issue management, and deliverable-management capabilities.
  • Experience managing customer-facing technology projects.
  • Understanding of software development, testing, UAT, deployment, and acceptance processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical work streams simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop professional project documentation and executive-level status reporting.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to perform assigned project work from within the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM modernization experience.
  • Microsoft Power Platform project experience.
  • State, local, or federal government project experience.
  • Experience supporting systems containing sensitive or regulated information.
  • PMP or comparable project-management certification.
Contract Environment

This position supports a firm-fixed-price State of Florida technology modernization contract. The project supports mission-critical functions involving auditing, investigations, whistle-blower intake, correspondence management, executive-request workflows, and enterprise reporting.

The modernization effort includes conversion of legacy Microsoft Dynamics CRM capabilities to Microsoft Power Platform, security enhancements, workflow modernization, automated integrations, testing, implementation support, and documentation.

Selected personnel must comply with applicable customer security and confidentiality requirements, complete required security-awareness training before accessing customer systems, and execute required nondisclosure agreements.
