Director Administrative Operations
Directs and supervises the activities of the facilities management department and mailroom operations; project management of large facility repairs or capital projects and assists with and/or coordinates administrative procurements.
Directly supervises the Manager of Facilities, Grounds & Security and the Supervisor - General Services.
Required minimum education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate or Property Management or some related field.
Appropriate related work experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
Required minimum professional work experience:
Six (6) years of relevant work experience to include experience in project or facilities management; safety and security; procurement; contract/vendor management and at least two (2) years of supervising, hiring and training.
Required licensure certification(s):
Valid FL driver's license.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishes priorities and oversees the Facility, Grounds & Security, Print Shop and the Mailroom departments and staff.
- Serves as project manager for significant facility repairs, renovations or other capital improvement projects. This includes developing and monitoring project plans.
- Assists direct reports with staffing requirements such as hires, onboarding, training, evaluations and terminations.
- Establishes and coordinates the overall Security Plan for all facilities.
- Assists Division Director and HR with Safety and Workers Compensation mitigation efforts.
- Maintains and updates the disaster recovery plan. Which includes periodic exercises to ensure team members are prepared.
- Assists with leasing activities, serves as liaison with tenants and assists branch offices with landlord/leasing issues or concerns.
- Assists with the property and business insurance policies and claims and other administrative management duties as assigned.
