Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

The Labor & Delivery RN is responsible for providing specialized prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care to patients. This role requires floating to related units as needed and delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Circulate and recover C-sections, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Interpret ECGs and provide immediate newborn care per clinical protocols.
• Float to family care units, NICU, or PICU as assigned, demonstrating flexibility.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Adhere to all safety standards, including AHA-BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring credentials.

Qualifications:

• Require a valid FL or Compact RN license and at least 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
• Possess current AHA-BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN-Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications.
• Demonstrate strong ECG interpretation and immediate newborn care skills.
• Have EPIC electronic health record experience.
• Capable of floating to multiple units, including Mother/Baby, NICU, or PICU.
• Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.
