    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    This position is located within the Bureau of the Comptroller's State and Federal Grants and Contracts Section. This position is independently responsible for creating a variety of accounting entries from cash receipts and disbursements, encumbrances and miscellaneous general accounting entries into Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR).

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    * Provide necessary assistance to the Auditor General and other State auditors in their review of Departmental accounting records.
    * Review project and grant applications, plans and awards from Local Educational Agencies, Community Colleges, Universities and prime sponsors for accuracy of fiscal information and compliance with State laws and regulations.
    * Review grants expenditure reports submitted by agencies for accuracy and compliance with approved budget and reporting requirements.
    * Process encumbrance and disbursement entries into FLAIR on a daily basis.
    * Provides daily consultation and assistance to management and staff in the management and operation of service programs and responsibilities.
    * Consults with program supervisors and administrative staff to resolve programmatic, administrative and operational issues and problems.
