HVAC Installers in Tallahassee, FL

The HVAC Installer will install commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including equipment, ductwork, piping, and ventilation components. This role requires accurately reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings, performing high-quality sheet metal and duct installations, and ensuring all work complies with applicable codes and safety standards. The HVAC Installer will support system startup, testing, and commissioning, while maintaining clear documentation of work performed and materials used.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and ventilation systems according to project specifications and industry standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications to plan and execute installations accurately.
• Measure, fabricate, and install sheet metal duct systems, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and airflow.
• Install refrigerant piping, including performing pressure testing and evacuation procedures to verify system integrity.
• Connect electrical wiring and control systems as required for HVAC equipment and components.
• Assist with startup, testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and performance.
• Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and federal codes, as well as company standards and best practices.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other installation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and coordinate with project managers and field supervisors to resolve problems and keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any changes or updates to installation plans.
• Follow company safety procedures and adhere to OSHA regulations at all times on the job site.
• Work effectively on construction job sites, including outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tallahassee, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
