Electronics Technician SNE

Position Summary:

The Electronics Technician works with the Engineering staff to develop, test, and support electronics products. This individual will apply his/her technical skills to build, test, and troubleshoot electronic products and test fixtures, as well as collect, organize and present test data. This is a self-directed position, with growth opportunity and continual skill development, which helps facilitate operation of the Electronics Lab and support new product development.

Objectives:

* Perform testing of electronic products and software for function validation, performance characterization, and failure mode identification.

* Design/build test circuits and fixtures to facilitate development testing.

* Troubleshoot electronic circuits, systems, and test fixtures.

* Create and maintain documentation of product material lists, parts drawings, and other project data.

Requirements:

Education:

2-year Associate Degree in electronic technology or equivalent military training

Related

Experience:

3 years as a technician is a plus

Soft Skills:

Time management, self-starter, ability to multi-task, excellent verbal/written communication

Special

Skills:

soldering/de-soldering, advanced computer skills, some programming proficiency is a plus (LabVIEW preferred), use of electronic test equipment, following test procedures, and reading schematics.
