Estimator off Specialist Blueprint and Software Expertise

Join our team as an Estimator - Take-off Specialist where your expertise in blueprint reading and take-off software will be pivotal in bridging mechanical designs and manufacturing.

As a detail-oriented Take-off Specialist, you will analyze commercial HVAC mechanical plans, identify necessary roof curbs, adapters, and accessories, and generate precise material lists and price quotes. Your proficiency with take-off software such as Bluebeam or Plan Swift will enhance accuracy and efficiency in project estimations.

• Perform comprehensive take-offs from commercial mechanical (M-series) and architectural drawings.
• Cross-reference HVAC unit model numbers (Carrier, Trane, Lennox, etc.) with specific curb/adapter footprints.
• Calculate material requirements including sheet metal gauge and insulation, and labor to provide competitive, accurate customer quotes.
• Collaborate with sales and production teams to ensure custom-manufactured parts meet project specifications.
• Maintain organized records of quotes and project details within internal tracking systems.

• 2+ years in construction estimating, HVAC parts distribution, or sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and construction drafts.
• Experience with take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, Plan Swift) is a major plus.
• Basic understanding of HVAC equipment and commercial roofing terminology.
• Ability to detect small discrepancies in prints that could lead to manufacturing errors.
