School Psychologist Qualifications and Possible Job
Duties Include:
Master's Degree in school psychology Valid Ohio certificate/license to practice as a school psychologist Successful completion of pre-employment screenings Such alternative or additional qualifications as the Board may find appropriate, or acceptable Contributes to evaluations utilizing diagnostic instruments and techniques appropriate for the area of disability or suspected disability Consults with teachers, parents, and other educational personnel on issues related to the education of children with disabilities to ensure the provision of the most appropriate education program Conducts formative assessments (CBM's;
reading/math probes) Assists school staff in implementing or modifying instructional strategies, classroom management procedures, and interventions Assists in the implementation of IDEIA Keeps abreast of new developments in the field and serves as a resource for other staff members All other duties as assigned Salary:
Salary schedule placement commensurate with experience and training.
