cGMP Sanitation Specialist
The cGMP Sanitation Specialist is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, facilities, and controlled environments in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This role ensures all sanitation processes meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards to prevent contamination and maintain product integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and deep cleaning of production areas, equipment, and utensils according to approved SOPs
- Follow cGMP guidelines
, safety procedures, and company sanitation policies - Prepare and use cleaning and sanitizing agents properly (correct dilution, labeling, and storage)
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning
- Document cleaning activities accurately (logs, checklists, batch records)
- Identify and report any maintenance or sanitation issues
- Support environmental monitoring and contamination control programs
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste and hazardous materials
- Maintain cleanliness in controlled environments (e.g., clean rooms if applicable)
- Participate in audits and inspections (internal and regulatory)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous sanitation or manufacturing experience preferred (food, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry)
- Basic understanding of cGMP regulations
- Ability to read and follow SOPs and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and sanitation techniques
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and ability to work independently
- Problem-solving and attention to compliance requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift (up to 40-50 lbs)
- Comfortable working in wet, cold, or controlled environments
- Ability to wear PPE (gloves, goggles, gowns, respirators if required)
- Manufacturing or production facility (food, pharmaceutical, or biotech)
- May require shift work, weekends, or overtime
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and strict hygiene protocols
- Experience working in FDA-regulated environments
- Familiarity with audit readiness and documentation practices
- Knowledge of contamination control and hygiene standards
Hours and pay can be discussed pre-interview
Salary: $18 per hour
