LPN – Tallmadge Family Medicine Office

Full-Time – Monday to Friday – Benefits Eligible

$1,500 Sign-On Bonus Offered!

Summary: Assists, provides, and coordinates nursing care for patients to obtain and reach optimal health. Participates with the care teams in Summa Health to provide patient-focused care. Is able to maintain and adapt to daily operations, interpret and execute provided instructions, and work reliably with professionalism in a medical office environment.

Formal Education Required
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing. A nursing school accepted for candidacy status from an accrediting body is preferred.
Experience & Training Required
  • Current license to practice practical nursing in the State of Ohio.
  • Additional related previous experience may be required for various practices.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and EMR.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Maintains HIPAA confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel between locations within the medical group as needed.
  • Ability to obtain Basic Life Support certification within six months of hire and maintain BLS certification.
  • Must pass yearly clinical skill competencies.
  • Required ability to handle bodily fluids and possible exposure to communicable disease.
  • Ability to interact effectively with patients, respecting their dignity and self-respect.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other health care professionals in exchanging information and assisting with patient care.
  • Ability to communicate with patients, families, visitors and representatives to assist in achieving health care goals.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Physical Demands

Medium:
Exerts 20‑50 pounds of force occasionally, 10‑25 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects. Ability to bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Salary

$24.93/hr – $29.92/hr (base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials).
