Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.
Responsibilities Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance.
Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring, and testing instruments.
Cleaning, repairing and installing equipment and parts as needed.
Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Performing general maintenance work on facilities as assigned.
Capable of upgrading or converting obsolete electrical components, setting up most with little or no assistance.
Fully understands the operation of all auxiliary support systems and can troubleshoot and repair most auxiliary support equipment.
Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)
Other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience3 years of manufacturing experience

Ability to manage priorities and multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to perform calibrations, installation and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Ability to read and interpret ladder logic, script, and block chain.
Ability to perform mechanical work, valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes
Knowledge, skills, and abilities consistent with the essential duties and responsibilities
Physical Requirements Must be able to walk and stand for a prolonged period of time
Must be able to use hands, arms, and fingers to handle, feel, and reach
Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Communicating with others to exchange information.
Repeating motions that may include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Working in areas subject to low/high temperatures, noise, poor ventilation, and/or hazardous conditions.
