Job Overview
A Pest Control Technician will inspect residential properties, identify and eliminate pest infestations using approved products, and educate customers on prevention.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment.
- Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, and expand product offerings.
- Maintain and stock pest control equipment.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle (routine maintenance provided).
- Work in confined spaces, around animals, insects, mechanical parts, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals.
- Operate in all weather with company-provided gear and wear PPE such as OSHA‑compliant respirators.
- Working in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Working around animals, insects and termites.
- Working around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights and scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals.
- Working inside and outside in local climate with weather gear.
- Moving around: sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wearing PPE such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons.
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided).
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by the company).
- Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed.
- Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for following instructions for mixing products.
- Customer-facing experience preferred.
