Pest Control Technician

Job Overview

A Pest Control Technician will inspect residential properties, identify and eliminate pest infestations using approved products, and educate customers on prevention.

• Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment.
• Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, and expand product offerings.
• Maintain and stock pest control equipment.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
• Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle (routine maintenance provided).
• Work in confined spaces, around animals, insects, mechanical parts, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals.
• Operate in all weather with company-provided gear and wear PPE such as OSHA‑compliant respirators.

• Working in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
• Working around animals, insects and termites.
• Working around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights and scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals.
• Working inside and outside in local climate with weather gear.
• Moving around: sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
• Wearing PPE such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator.

• Clean shaven face for safety reasons.
• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided).
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by the company).
• Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed.
• Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills for following instructions for mixing products.
• Customer-facing experience preferred.
