• Provide 24‑hour care within the Children’s Residential Services for looked‑after children.
• Work in a busy Children’s Home caring for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
• Operate evening and day shifts as part of a flexible rota, including sleep‑in duties.
• Train and supervise staff under the direction of the manager.
• Manage the building in the manager’s absence.

• Committed to a comprehensive induction and training programme.
• Qualified at NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or an equivalent award.
• Subject to Enhanced Barred List Disclosure Procedures.
• Designated customer‑facing role under fluency duty, requiring a specified level of spoken English.
• Experience in childcare and proven ability to work within a team caring for children with complex needs.
• Must be able to meet EEO and reasonable adjustments provisions as outlined in the Equality Act 2010.
