Job DescriptionThe accounting assistant will be responsible for processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as performing light business-to-business (B2B) collections. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities will include:
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable in Quick Books
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions
- Communicating with clients and vendors regarding payment status and invoices
- Performing light B2B collections and addressing any outstanding balances
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements
- Assisting with the preparation of financial reports for management
- Providing administrative support to the accounting department as needed
- Associate's degree in accounting or related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in AP/AR
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Familiarity with Quick Books or other accounting software
- Knowledge of B2B collections and customer service
