Accounting Assistant need in Tampa, Florida

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year, plus benefits

We are a growing company based in Tampa, Florida, specializing in providing high-quality services to our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accounting assistant to join our team.

The accounting assistant will be responsible for processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as performing light business-to-business (B2B) collections. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities will include:

• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable in Quick Books
• Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions
• Communicating with clients and vendors regarding payment status and invoices
• Performing light B2B collections and addressing any outstanding balances
• Reconciling bank and credit card statements
• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports for management
• Providing administrative support to the accounting department as needed

• Associate's degree in accounting or related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in AP/AR
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Familiarity with Quick Books or other accounting software
• Knowledge of B2B collections and customer service
