Accounting Specialist

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This role is essential in ensuring smooth financial operations, with responsibilities spanning accounts payable, general ledger management, and reconciliation tasks. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, initiative, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

- Perform accurate bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial records are up-to-date.

- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and timely payment handling.

- Maintain and review general ledger accounts, ensuring proper coding and documentation.

- Collaborate with managers to monitor costs and provide monthly reports.

- Provide receptionist coverage as needed, contributing to smooth daily office operations.

- Utilize accounting software and tools

- Communicate effectively with various departments to address financial inquiries and support decision-making.

Requirements

- Strong knowledge of debits and credits, with experience in accounts payable and general ledger reconciliations.

- Familiarity with Apple and Google tools for workplace efficiency.

- Basic to advanced Excel skills, with the ability to perform essential functions.

- Proven ability to take initiative and work independently.

- Prior experience with bill pay processes is highly desirable.

- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external parties.

- Solid organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively.
