Accounts Receivable Clerk

Burgess Civil is seeking a motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk to support our accounting team and ensure timely, accurate collection of project receivables. This role is ideal for someone who understands the construction billing process and wants to grow their career within a dynamic, fast‑moving organization.

• Post owner billings and customer invoices in our ERP system
• Assist with project billing packages, backup, and supporting documentation
• Manage collection of open receivables, including follow‑up with clients
• Track, request, and collect lien releases from subcontractors and vendors
• Maintain accurate AR records, logs, and documentation
• Support the accounting and project teams with AR‑related reporting
• Communicate professionally with clients, PMs, subcontractors, and vendors

• Construction industry experience required
• Experience with lien releases, pay apps, or construction billing workflows
• Strong Excel skills (sorting, filtering, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
• Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with clients and project teams
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to track multiple deadlines
• Customer‑service mindset and professional demeanor
• Must be willing to learn and grow!

• Experience with Foundation Software
