Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the month-end and year-end close processes for an assigned affiliate
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, documentation, and close procedures
• Support process enhancements related to areas such as invoicing, cash application, and reconciliations
• Provide oversight and contribute to the refinement and redesign of existing accounting processes
• Review and validate work performed by the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
• Perform and oversee intercompany accounting activities within a highly manual environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency of financial data

Systems & Tools:

• Utilize Biz1 and Excel extensively in day-to-day responsibilities
• Gather and reconcile data from various third-party systems
• Maintain periodic interaction with Dayforce-related activities

Requirements

• Minimum background equivalent to a strong Accounting Manager or early-stage Controller
• Experience working in environments with manual processes and intercompany accounting
• Familiarity with Biz1 and/or SAP strongly preferred
• Prior experience within a manufacturing or light manufacturing environment preferred
• General manufacturing industry experience considered a plus
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, hands-on environment
• Willingness to spend time in a warehouse setting as needed
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with existing team members
• Minimal but sufficient management or team development experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
