Staff Accountant

We are working with a mission‑driven healthcare organization in Tampa that is rebuilding its accounting team following a recent merger. This is a hands‑on Staff Accountant role designed for someone earlier in their accounting career who is comfortable being very close to the day‑to‑day transactions and wants exposure to broader full‑cycle accounting.

This role is best suited for a junior to mid‑level accountant who enjoys operational work and thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment.

• Perform accounts receivable and revenue posting
• Handle cash application, deposits, and daily cash activity
• Complete bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Support the general ledger and assist with month‑end close
• Work across multiple legal entities within a healthcare environment
• Assist with accounting clean‑up and process improvements during team rebuild
• Gain exposure to grant accounting (preferred for one opening)

• 2–5 years of accounting experience (Staff‑level focus)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  Associate’s considered with strong experience
• Strong hands‑on experience with AR, cash, and bank reconciliations
• Comfortable in a very operational, transactional role
• Healthcare or nonprofit experience is a plus, not required
• ERP experience such as Great Plains / Dynamics GP, MIP, or similar
• Willingness to work onsite in Tampa (daily in‑office presence)

• Salary range: $65,000 – $72,000
