We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead core financial operations and ensure the integrity, compliance, and scalability of accounting processes in a highly regulated environment. Reporting to the Controller, this role will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable financial insights while strengthening internal controls aligned with CAS, FAR, and DFAR requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Lead all core accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and Tax
• Own the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness
• Prepare and review financial statements and reporting packages, delivering clear and reliable insights to leadership
• Partner with operational and functional teams to provide financial guidance and improve decision-making
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team aligned with business growth
• Review T&E reporting, AP check runs, and payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls, including ERP system governance (Deltek Costpoint preferred)
• Ensure compliance with CAS, FAR, DFAR, and GAAP standards across all accounting activities
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities
• Research and resolve complex accounting issues with a solutions-oriented mindset
• Support audits and maintain readiness in a regulated, defense-focused environment
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, systems, and reporting capabilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of CAS, FAR, and DFAR regulations
• Deep experience with General Ledger and financial reporting
• Proven leadership experience building and developing teams
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA certification
• Experience across AP, AR, and Payroll functions
• ERP experience (Deltek Costpoint strongly preferred)
• ERP implementation, optimization, or system enhancement experience
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or business integrations

Other Requirements

• Travel: 5-10% (occasional international exposure)
