Staff Accountant

Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Tampa, FL (Westshore Area – Onsite)
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close, including variance analysis and supporting schedules
• Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Support internal reporting and assist with financial statement preparation
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial data

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelors in Accounting or similar
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
• Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Proficiency in Quick Books (QB) or similar accounting software
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
