Supplier Services Specialist

Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain and support the USF Accounts Payable Supplier File. Tasks include verifying data for accuracy, entering supplier data into financial systems, maintaining 1099 records, and communicating with suppliers and University departments to resolve issues related to submitted supplier data.

• Process supplier adds and updates to the Accounts Payable Supplier File, conduct fraud mitigation procedures including verifying submitted data for accuracy and TIN match new suppliers with the IRS to ensure 1099 tax reporting data integrity, register with the IRS for TIN matching, monitor data export from 3rd party supplier portal to ERP system and resolve routine sync errors.
• Conduct fraud mitigation procedures such as verifying new EFT/ACH or wire banking information with suppliers and inactivating old remittance information, verifying new addresses and inactivating old addresses.
• Communicate daily with university departments and the USF supplier community by email and phone regarding the status of supplier registrations and resolve issues related to supplier updates or additions to the Accounts Payable Supplier File; assist suppliers by troubleshooting general portal issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma and 0‑2 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Accounts Payable experience related to vendor maintenance and/or 1099 processing and reporting.
