Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will oversee key billing and collection processes while supporting the financial operations of a dynamic company. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills and experience in managing accounts receivable within an environment that values attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage customer billing and invoicing to ensure timely and accurate payments.

- Coordinate with project managers and customers to complete monthly billing tasks efficiently.

- Handle lien releases and collaborate with accounts payable to secure vendor payments when required.

- Communicate effectively with clients to address missing information and set payment expectations.

- Manage collections activities, focusing on resolving payment delays and ensuring smooth customer communication.

- Maintain accurate records of transactions and follow up on outstanding balances.

- Utilize software to track and update accounts receivable processes.

- Apply basic to intermediate Excel skills to analyze financial data and prepare reports.

- Adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor.

Requirements

- At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role.

- Proficiency in basic to intermediate Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.

- Familiarity with construction industry billing processes is highly preferred.

- Strong communication skills and a friendly yet assertive approach to resolving payment issues.

- Ability to work effectively in a small team environment with minimal supervision.

- Comfortable managing collections and customer communications with professionalism.

- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
