Staff Accountant

The Baldwin Group (NASDAQ: BWIN), takes a holistic and tailored approach to insurance and risk management.

• Reconciles, adjusts, and maintains balance sheet accounts
• Prepares monthly recurring journal entries
• Assists with month-end close and ad hoc requests
• Ability to research and troubleshoot
• Brings issues and discrepancies to appropriate leader, while identifying potential solutions

• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, and keyboard shortcuts
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to be able to interact effectively with various levels of colleagues both inside and outside the accounting organization
• Must possess excellent organizational skills
• Exhibits professional skepticism
• Must demonstrate the organization’s core values, exuding behavior aligned with the firm’s culture

• A four-year degree in Accounting required
• 1-2 years’ in corporate accounting or auditing required, or relevant internship(s) if a recent Accounting graduate
• Working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• CPA track is a plus, but not required
