Senior Accountant

We are seeking candidates in Nashville or Tampa to work a hybrid schedule at either office location. Remote candidates will not be considered.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
• Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, alignment on accounting processes, and timely resolution of issues
• Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, inter‑company entries, cost allocations, and other balance sheet and P&L accounts
• Maintain Fixed Assets and prepare monthly reconciliations
• Maintain Capitalized Software schedules and prepare monthly reconciliations
• Proactively investigate and correct items identified in advance of monthly variance review
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews with Controller & Director of Accounting
• Support annual audit & assist with ad hoc accounting and other projects as requested
• Complete all estimated tax, extensions, and sales & use tax payments & returns timely
• Research and resolve tax notices when received

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Master’s degree in accounting or business administration preferred
• CPA preferred
• 6‑7 years of accounting experience with 2‑3 years in public accounting or private industry accounting in software industry preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, and advanced skill with Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with accounting systems
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and thorough understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
• Demonstrated understanding of ASC 350‑40 Internal Use Software, ASC 730 R&D Capitalization
• High-level of proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel) required
• Advanced knowledge of Excel

• Sage Intacct experience
• Public accounting or software industry experience
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and thorough understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
