Accounting, Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk

Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be part of the Accounting Department supporting the accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: Tampa, FL

Pay Range: $18

Shift: 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday

• Review audits, process payments and sub ledgers to general ledger; identify and initiate corrective actions.
• Support Project Managers to expedite vendor payments.
• Reconcile Purchase Orders to invoices and receipts.
• Prepare Standard Miscellaneous Batches, Journal Entries, Event Billings, and Deposit Journals.
• Receive funds, prepare deposits, and reconcile bank statements.

• 2 years of accounting experience required; open to candidates with a willingness to learn.
• Experience in construction/county construction a PLUS.
• Ability to perform intermediate-level accounting work accurately.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work in HIGH volume/fast pace environment.
• Oracle, Unifier, Excel experience a PLUS.
