Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records across multiple banking platforms, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal trust accounting standards.

• Manage trust account activity including deposits, disbursements, and reconciliations
• Process and monitor client retainers, legal settlement transactions, and escrow activity
• Work across multiple bank accounts and online banking portals to maintain accurate financial records
• Support petty cash tracking and reconciliation processes
• Perform general bookkeeping duties to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial data
• Assist in maintaining compliance with trust accounting rules and internal audit requirements
• Partner with legal and administrative teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation
• Maintain organized records to support audits and regulatory compliance reviews

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Prior experience working in a law firm or legal environment strongly preferred (highly desired)
• Experience working across multiple banking platforms or financial portals
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and reconciliation skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor when working with attorneys and internal stakeholders
